John Fegan

John is one of those extraordinary creative characters and larrykins who has lived a full and diverse life. He is an accomplished musician, an artist and a writer; his music expressing his views on chapters in his life and his 3-D ceramic art adding a new dimension to any home.

John will talk about his extraordinary life and reflect on the story behind his moving song "In My Life" that he will sing during the interview. This song is the theme song used in this program.

He is Australia's best known whistleblower and a man whose integrity has seen his fight continue despite the best efforts of the Queensland Government.

Bruce Tye

Bruce at first glance has led an unremarkable life - until you get to know the man.

Married for nearly fifty years, he is one of the pillars of the unique Brookfield community in the western suburbs of Brisbane.

His best friend at Duntroon was Mick Jeffery, the Governor-General of Australia. The friendship is as strong today with Bruce often visiting his remarkable friend.

It is Bruce recollections of Brisbane in the early days - including the 1974 flood - his love for horses and his skills as a bush poet that add to the colour of this fascinating man.

Debbie Kilroy

Debbie Kilroy runs Sisters Inside.

This extraordinary woman was locked up and abused at 13, a mother at 17, married to a celebrity footballer at 25, jailed for trafficking and witness to a violent murder at 28. Twelve years later she was awarded the Order of Australia for her fearless campaign for the rights of women prisoners through Sisters Inside.

She was recently awarded with a Human Rights Medal and is studying to become a barrister - determined to change the lives of women behind prison walls.
